On March 22:
● At 2:46 a.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop for a defective trailer light in the 1200 block of 23rd Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Robert A. King Jr., 34 , of Monroe, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense. King was additionally charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a concealed carry weapon (CCW) license and going armed while under the influence. King was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.
On March 23:
● At 11:18 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 800 block of 18th Avenue. The investigation indicated that Bayron Y. Caballero Talavera, 44, of Monroe, was exiting his vehicle causing the car door to hit a passing vehicle operated by an 82-year-old Brodhead man. Both vehicles sustained minor damages and were removed by the operators. Caballero Talavera was cited for opening a car door into a highway and released pending a court appearance.
On March 25:
● At 10:03 a.m., officers arrested Matthew J. Shores, 41, of Monroe, at a residence in the 1300 block of 21st Street on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Shores was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
● At 10:08 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 2700 block of 8 1/2 Street. The investigation led to the arrest of Dylan R. Hawkins, 26, of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct while armed under Wisconsin Domestic Violence laws. In addition, officers arrested Cody J. Vavra, 35, of Monroe, on a charge of resisting/obstructing an officer. Vavra was released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance. Hawkins was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 26:
● At 4:50 p.m., officers arrested Merwin Uriel Rivera Benavides, 34, of Monroe, in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor bail jumping case. Rivera Benavides was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
