On May 16:

● At 12:01 a.m., officers arrested Derek J. Grinnell (34), of Monroe, in the 1300 block of 16 1/2 Street, on a probation apprehension request issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Grinnell was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

● At 4:29 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle accident, with no reported injuries, at STH 69 and 8th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Robert M. Folgate, 56, of Dakota, IL, was southbound on STH 69, entered the intersection with 8th Street while the traffic signal light was yellow, and collided with a vehicle which was northbound on STH 69 and turning west on 8th Street, operated by an 18-year-old Monroe woman. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Folgate was cited for a violation of the yellow traffic signal, and also for operating without a valid driver’s license. Folgate was released pending court.
