On July 7:

● At approximately 5:52 p.m., Deputies responded to the W9400 block of STH 81, Town of Adams, for a two vehicle crash with no injury. Investigation determined a westbound operator, Laura P. Stephens, 51 of Argyle, was traveling on STH 81, attempting to turn on to Trotter Rd. A second westbound vehicle on State Highway 81, operated by Landen M. Wilson, 18 of Monroe, attempted to stop his vehicle to yield for Laura, but was not able to stop in time due to the wet road conditions. Landen’s vehicle subsequently struck the rear of Laura’s vehicle. Neither driver was injured, both reported wearing their seatbelts and there was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Laura’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Landen’s vehicle was driven from the scene and Landen was issued a citation for Operating too Fast for Conditions.

● At approximately 8:59 p.m., Deputies responded to the W3200 block of Hafen Rd., Town of Jefferson, to attempt to locate a subject with a warrant. Deputies located the subject, Tanna R. Theiler, 37 of Juda, and placed her under arrest. Tanna was issued a new court date by the Brodhead Police Department and was then released from custody.

On July 8:

● At approximately 6:35 p.m., Deputies responded to W6400 Melvin Rd., in the Town of Clarno, for a report of a vehicle up against a tree with nobody around.  Deputies arrived and observed that the driver had fled the scene.  Shortly after, the registered owner of the vehicle, Zachary Noone, 22 of Freeport IL, called to report that he had crashed his vehicle. Zachary reported that he had a friend to had picked him up from the scene.  Zachary reported wearing his seatbelt, was not injured, and he had a tow truck coming in the morning to remove the vehicle.  Zachary was cited for Failure to maintain Control of his vehicle. 

● At approximately 8:07 p.m., Deputies responded to the N7600 block of CTH N, Town of New Glarus, for a vehicle versus pole crash with no injuries. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to the driver, Michael Miling, 38, of New Glarus, who advised he was traveling southbound when his vehicle entered the west gravel shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch where it collided with a power pole coming to a rest. Michael reported he and his passenger, Lucas Miling, 6, were wearing their safety belts and were uninjured. Michael’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Michael received a verbal warning for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and was released. Alliant Energy responded to the scene and restored power to the neighboring residences.

● At approximately 7:10 p.m., Deputies were requested to assist the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office with an active burglary in the 1800 block of Lacey Rd., South Wayne. Upon Deputies arrival it was determined the suspected offender, John W. Thompson Jr., 44 of Browntown, had a right to be in the home and it was a misunderstanding. It was then learned that John had an active body only warrant through MNPD for Failure to Appear, Retail Theft, and Bail Jumping. John was subsequently arrested and transported to the Green County Jail where he will be held until his initial court appearance.

● At approximately 8:47 PM Deputies and Belleville PD responded to N8922 Hughes Rd in the Town of Exeter for the report of an argument between neighbors. Investigation resulted in Tricia A. Bochte, 39, of Belleville receiving citations for Dog Running at Large - 1st offense, and Disorderly Conduct.

On July 9:

● At approximately 12:35 p.m., Belleville PD and GRSO Deputies were dispatched to a two vehicle crash in the W800 block of STH 92, Town of Brooklyn.  Robert L Halbleib, 76, Brooklyn, was westbound, negotiating a curve, when he reached down to retrieve his reading glasses that fell to the passenger side floor board.  Robert went left of center.  An eastbound vehicle driven by Karl E Whisler, 52, Belleville, tried to take evasive action by driving into the south ditch to avoid a collision with Robert, but the two vehicles side swiped the other.Karl and his three passengers reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured.  There was no airbag deployment, and their vehicle sustained functional damage along the driver’s side of the vehicle. Robert reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.  There was no airbag deployment and his vehicle sustained functional damage along the driver’s side of his vehicle.  Robert was cited for Left of Center Line, and was released with a court date.  

● At approximately 9:31 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8100 block of Prairie View Rd., Town of Adams, for an open line 911 call originating from that address. Investigation revealed that a disturbance had occurred at the residence. Investigation resulted in Gabriel Garity, 45 of Argyle, being arrested for two counts of misdemeanor Bail Jumping and one count Disorderly Conduct falling under the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse laws. Gabriel was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
