MADISON - The 51st Assembly District will be seeing a lot of changes in the coming weeks, including staffing changes and a new State Representative being sworn in Jan. 3. Although current 51st Assembly Representative Steve Hilgenberg, D-Dodgeville, is retiring, residents can still use the office as a resource for their questions regarding state government, he said in a statement.
"I have been honored and proud to serve the residents of the 51st Assembly District for that past 4 years," Hilgenberg said. "I have also been blessed with great staff dedicated to serving our friends and neighbors."
Earlier this week Max Dulberger, who has worked in Rep. Hilgenberg's office for over three years has taken a job with the Department of Veteran's Affairs, serving as their Executive Assistant.
"I feel very fortunate and the 51st district is fortunate to have had Max working in this office," Hilgenberg stated. "His dedication and passion for working with constituents has been outstanding and he has provided guidance to hundreds of folks in our community as they have maneuvered their way through issues with the state. I wish him well in his new opportunity."
Representative Hilgenberg can be contacted toll free at 1-888-534-0051 or; via email at rep.hilgenberg@legis.wi.gov.
"Although Max has accepted a new position," Rep. Hilgenberg said. "My staff Lois Rundell and Katrina Virta will still be available to address concerns, answer questions, and assist with the transition into the next legislative session."
The 51st Assembly District encompasses all of Iowa County and parts of Lafayette and Sauk counties.
As I move into the next chapter of my life, I look forward to continuing my service to this district and hearing from people across our district," Hilgenberg said.
