Marlene Gobeli, wife of cheesemaker Ivan Gobeli, and their oldest son, Steve, work in the Franklin Cheese Factory in Clarno Township in 1966. Note the overhead agitator head, and the overhead steel track to which is attached a chain block and tackle. It was used to lift heavy bags of Swiss cheese curd out of the large copper kettles and deliver the curd to a cheese form on the press table for pressing.
