MONROE — Monroe mystery author, Bill Ross, has published his latest fictional book in the Monroe Mystery Series, “Absolute Certainty”.
Ross is partnering with Main Street Monroe, and the books are available for sale at the Toy Haus and Frame N’ Color located around Monroe’s historic downtown square. All proceeds from the sale of the books go toward supporting Main Street and city tourism. The books are also available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Ross is writing a series of mystery novels embracing the City of Monroe and its Swiss heritage. His hope is that these books will reach a national audience, putting Monroe on the map as a tourist destination. Ross is also one of the city’s docents and enjoys meeting visitors from all over the United States.
A brief synopsis of “Absolute Certainty”:
On Memorial Day Weekend the manager of the JCPenny Store in downtown Money discovers an overnight break-in and the cash receipts stolen from the store’s safe. Police Chief Brandon Johns and Det. Samantha Gates are called to investigate. Two days later, the murdered body of Ted Garwell is discovered in his back yard. Suddenly, the police are dealing with two unsolved cases instead of one. Were the two crimes connected? Would solving the robbery lead them to solving the murder?
As the investigation continues they narrow the possible suspects down to several persons connected to Garwell. To complicate matters, the time of death is problematic being that all the suspects have alibis. As they investigate gathering evidence to piece together the puzzle, will the police get a break in the case to solve both the robbery and the murder, and bring the culprits to justice?
“Enjoy the story,” Ross says.
