Monroe celebrated the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on Saturday, July 4 with its annual festival at Twining Park. There was a slow-pitch softball tournament, face painting, petting zoo, inflatables, food trucks, live music and various carnival games for children and adults of all ages to enjoy. The day was capped off with a fireworks display.
