To the Editor:
As a middle school special education teacher, I am proud to support Corrine Hendrickson for Wisconsin State Senate District 17.
I have known Corrine since we served together as Resident Assistants at UW—Whitewater in 2000. Over the past 25 years, I have watched her dedicate herself to serving others as an educator, child care provider, school board member, small business owner, and advocate for working families.
Corrine’s knowledge of education and early childhood policy sets her apart. As someone who works in public education, I appreciate her commitment to fully funding our schools, including special education services. She understands that investing in children from their earliest years through graduation strengthens families, communities, and Wisconsin’s future.
What has always impressed me most is Corrine’s tenacity. She does her homework, asks tough questions, and doesn’t stop until she has the information she needs to make informed decisions.
While education is her expertise, she has worked hard to learn about the many issues affecting District 17.
She is also tirelessly traveling throughout our rural communities, meeting people, listening to their concerns, and learning what matters most to them. Rather than assuming she knows the answers, she is taking the time to understand the challenges and opportunities facing the people she hopes to represent.
District 17 needs a senator who listens, learns, and works hard for her constituents. Corrine Hendrickson is that leader. Please join me in voting for her in the Primary on August 11th!
