FREEPORT — The Highland Community College Concert Band and Orchestra will hold their joint Concert and Winter Recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 in the Fine Arts Theatre in the Ferguson Fine Arts Center, 2998 W. Pearl City Rd., Freeport, Ill.

Scott Stich will direct the Concert Band, with the Orchestra conducted by Brandon Lamm.

“The members of the concert band and orchestra wish to bring their audience a great sampling of smaller more intimate pieces of music that only make our stage once a year,” said Stich. “There will be pieces specifically written or arranged to be for small groups. Thus, the word chamber applies. There will be a few Mozart selections and other recognizable composers. Even some new music from our esteemed Gary Brubaker. We will bring the sounds, textures, and experiences you can’t get with our full ensembles. Come and join the fun.”
