Steve and Thea Buholzer celebrated their 40th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.
The Buholzers were married at St. Victor's Church on Oct. 21, 1972.
The couple are parents of two children, Melissa (Matt) Erdley and Adam (Teena) Buholzer, both from Monroe. They have six grandchildren, Julianna and Benjamin Erdley and Vinny, Alvin and twins Carsen and Cole Buholzer.
The couple plan to celebrate in Puerto Rico in the spring, 2013.
