MONROE - Behring Senior Center, 1113 10th St., scheduled several programs and activities for the month of April.
♦ Veteran's monthly breakfast: 8 to 9:30 a.m. April 4. The breakfast is for all veterans and spouses ages 55 and over. The next breakfast will be the May 2.
♦ The last day for the AARP assistance service is from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 4.

Classes
♦ iPad Plus class: 9 to 11 a.m. April 6.
♦ Exploring Apple Apps class: 1 to 3 p.m. April 23. This class is for iPad only. Participants will view several different fee apps in the Apple Store that can be used with an iPad.
♦ Oil Painting with Nina: 9 a.m. to noon April 9. The project will be "The old barn by the tree."
♦ Bath in a Bottle: 1 to 3 p.m. April 10. Class about natural bath and beauty products that can be made at home.
♦ Human Growth and Development: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 17 to June 7. Class will be limited to 15 people.
♦ Travel 101 class: 10 to 11 a.m. May 7, 14 and 21. Jean Woolworth will teach how to plan a trip, survive the TSA and give other travel tips.
♦ How to Buy and Sell on eBay: 9 to 11 a.m. May 14. Instructor Robin McLeish will teach all about buying and selling on eBay. Some computer knowledge is needed to take this class.
Two classes remain in a three-part series covering health issues that affect the senior population. Call the senior center to reserve a spot at the lunch-and-learn sessions led by Dr. Pete Schmitt.

♦ Checkers Tournament: 1 p.m. April 16. Sign up at the front desk or call 325-3173 to play and try to win "the top dog" trophy. There will also be second- and third-place prizes.
♦ Ditch the Bucket List program: 1:30 p.m. May 23. Motivational speaker Mary Helen Conroy will talk about leading a meaningful life.
