WHITEWATER — The Green County Gators Swim Team attended the 8-team, 3-day 2025 J-Hawk Winter Thaw hosted by the J-Hawk Aquatic Club Jan. 10-12. Multiple swimmers clocked PRs (personal records) for various events. Event awards were given to 1st-6th place for individuals, 1st-3rd for relays and for the Single High Point Winners by age and gender 1st-3rd. The Gators girls took 2nd place points and the boys took 4th place with 22 swimmers attending earning a combined score of 246 points.
Gunnison Hartley (12), Wren Hartley (9), Barrett Berg (12) & Kinsley Huffman (9) earned the most individual points for the team; Gunnison earned 1st High point with 48 pts, Wren earned 2nd High Point with 28 pts, Barrett earned 3rd High Point with 24 pts and Kinsley earned 3rd High Point with 20 pts. The Gators also swam 3 relays; Mixed 9-10yo 200Y Free Relay with 2:34.02 together with Wren Hartley (9), Finnley Daniels (9), Olivia Hustad (9) & Kinsley Huffman (9) taking 2nd, Mixed 9-12yo 200Y Free Relay with Brynleigh Wellman (12), Stella Rolli (11), Luaren Kosmosky (11) & Gunnison Hartley (12) also the Mixed 100Y Free Relay with Sadie Wellman (8), Augie Akins (8), Maggie Donohue (13) & Mila Daniels (6).
Green County Gators will be swimming a Dual Meet with Dodge County Sea Dragons on Sunday, Jan. 19.
