JOHNSON CREEK — The Comets limited the Bluejays to single digits in each half en route to an 81-15 win on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Three players scored in double figures for Albany-Monticello, led by Alana Durtschi with 16 points. Abby Hollis chipped in 15 and Anna Ellinger tallied 10. 

Albany-Monticello (8-0) remains the No. 2 team in Division 5 behind Assumption (7-0).

ARGYLE-PECATONICA 67, TURNER 22

BELOIT — The Orioles used a 49-point first half to down the Trojans on Monday, Dec. 11.

Four players scored in double figures for Argyle-Pecatonica — Kylie Butler (18), Brooke Wellnitz (15), Avari Steiner (12) and Loretta Tisch (11). Wellnitz also recorded a double-double, grabbing 10 rebounds. She needed just two more steals for a triple-double. 

Argyle-Pecatonica (6-1) maintained the No. 6 spot in Division 5, winning every game since its season-opening loss to Belleville.

MILTON 84, MONROE 16

MONROE — The Redhawks used a 13-point run in the first half to defeat the Cheesemakers in a nonconference game on Dec. 12.

Lindsay Leuzinger tied the game at 2 with a 2-for-3 trip to the free-throw line, but Milton led the rest of the way. Leuzinger led Monroe with five points, while Abbey Matley grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. The Cheesemakers bested the Redhawks in just one statistical category — defensive rebounds (23-20).
