SAUK CITY — The Monroe Cheesemakers boys track and field team won the Sauk Prairie relays while the girls team took second place. The boys finished with 102 points and the girls got 82 points.
In the boys division, the 4x400 meter relay team of senior Jy’Shon Broitzman, senior Noah Spotts, junior Eli Phillips and junior Kamrin Gerber-Reamer topped the event in 3:24.79. In the 4x800 meter relay, the team of junior Elijah Cook, junior Lukas Gerber, Gerber-Reamer, and Phillips was second with a time of 8:27.95. Monroe won the 1,600 meter relay (200-200-400-800) with senior Frank Wolf, sophomore Killian Wild, junior Lukas Gerber, and sophomore Landon Smith circling the track in 3:47.33.
Senior Waylon Yoder of Monroe took second place in the shot put with a toss measured at 65 feet, 6.75 inches. Yoder was also second in the discus (160-6). Wolf came in second in the high jump (5-8) and triple jump (41-1.5).
Highlights from the girls division had the 4x400 relay team of sophomore Alivia Mosher, senior Mya Wild, senior Aniyah Jackson-Bey, and senior Miley Hanson take first place in 4:13.13. The 1,600 meter relay was won by senior Brooke Bunker, freshman Micki Andrews, Aniyah Jackson-Bey, and Alivia Mosher in a time of 4:31.99.
The 4,000 meter relay team of sophomore Victoria Wolf, junior Lyla Ritschard, sophomore Kaylen Cassidy, and junior Nevaeh Huenefeld earned second place (13:31.79).
Miley Hanson got second (4-8). Senior Anna Zentner was third in the pole vault (8-6).
Bulldog Relays at Boscobel Thursday April 23
BOSCOBEL — The Argyle-Pecatonica girls track and field team won the Bulldog Relays with 71.5 points on Thursday, April 23. Albany was 10th with 25 points.
The Argyle-Pecatonica boys team finished in seventh place with 38 points.
In the mixed 4x400 meter relay, Argyle-Pec finished second as the team of senior Eli Harris, sophomore Ayden Slater, senior Loretta Tisch, and junior Sophie Howard ran the relay in 4:05.39.
Albany had a relay team take second place as the mixed 4x1600 meter relay team of sophomore Emma Thompson, junior Noah Lisser, junior Lydia Ahnen, and sophomore Brooks Wachholz completed the relay in 23:18.70.
Senior Loretta Tisch of AP won the 300 meter hurdles in 47.20 seconds. Tisch was also first in the triple jump with a jump of 32 feet, one inch. Junior Aleah Harris of AP was second with a time of 53.61 seconds. Harris also won in the long jump with a jump of 15-0.25.
Sophomore Ali Flood of Albany placed second in the shot put with a toss of 38-4. Flood was also third in the discus throw with a throw that measured 101-6.
On the boys side, Argyle-Pec got a third place and fourth place finish in the 300 meter hurdles as sophomore Ayden Slater was third (45.62) and Braydon Slater was fourth (46.69). Ayden Slater was second in the triple jump (37-7.75). Senior Kamron Parker of Albany was third in the triple jump (37-3), Casey Cole of Albany was fourth (36-4) and Noah Lisser of Albany was fifth (35-8). In the long jump, Bo Stateler of AP was seventh (17-2.75).
