Thomas E. Pandow, age 62 of Monroe, WI passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Winslow, IL after a long courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was born December 7, 1959 in Monroe the son of Stephen and Elizabeth (Noble) Pandow. Thomas lived in the Monroe area his entire life where he attended Monroe High School.
Thomas is survived by his brothers and sisters: Stephen Pandow of South Beloit, IL, James (Gale) Pandow of Brodhead, WI, Mary Pandow of Monroe, Linda (Dave Reed) Pandow of Winslow, IL, and Bette (Ed) Kloser of Darlington, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother: Dorothy Pandow; and one nephew: Brett Pandow.
Thomas’ faith was in God was important to him and attended various churches in Monroe throughout the years. He was a very social person who loved to get coffee and apple pie with his friends at the Blue Ox and McDonalds, visit with friends at the nursing homes where he enjoyed a game of cards, and always liked to cook for others. Thomas was very generous – always willing to help someone in need, had a fun personality, and had the biggest laugh. It was hard not to smile when he was around. He had a knack for statistics and never ever forgot an important date.
In his free time, Thomas liked to sit on the bench outside of Piggly Wiggly in Monroe, go for walks, watch the Roller Derby Queens on TV, read – especially World War II documentaries and Encyclopedias, and attending family get-togethers and picnics. He was a well-kept man, taking pride in his prim and proper look and always smelled good with his various colognes. Thomas loved to dance and could keep the rhythm to any song. He cherished the time he spent with his family creating memories they will all cherish forever.
A graveside service will held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe, WI. A Celebration of Life will follow. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
