Edna Irene Mitchell, 63, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 12, 1954, the daughter of Emery and Ethel (Leckscheid) Mitchell in Crowring County, Minnesota. Edna was a home health care worker for many years in the Monroe area. 

She is survived by her six children, Donna (Ngwarima) Mutunhu, Kevin (Becky) Hayden, Vicky Hayden, and Lillian, Nate, and Brianna Weiss; grandchildren, Jared and Emma Monte-Hayden and Logan Leverton; siblings, Evelyn Mitchell, William Mitchell, Mary Moffitt, Martin Mitchell, Dale (Julie) Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, and Judy Mitchell; and her companion, Dave Moore. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edith Mitchell; and brother-in-law, Gary Moffitt.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home. Per Edna’s wishes no formal service will be held. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.shriner111.com.
