Monticello FFA members compete in Okla.

During the week of May 4th 2026, four FFA members from Monticello High School traveled to El Reno, Oklahoma to compete at the National Land and Range Judging Contest. Evan Feller, Bryce Aquino, Levi Johnson, and Kiefer Watkins were accompanied by Monticello Agriculture Teacher Mr. Ryan Indergand, and earned the right to compete by ranking as a top five team, statewide, at last fall’s Wisconsin FFA Land Judging Competition. While in Oklahoma, the students practiced soils judging while also visiting and touring the Oklahoma National Stockyards, and the Oklahoma National Memorial and Museum. Evan Feller scored 23rd overall as an individual; and as a team, these four FFA members ranked in the top 50% nationally. This the twelfth time that Monticello FFA has competed at the national contest and these boys had the 2nd highest score of all 12 teams. Congratulations on their success at the contest, and great job representing our Monticello FFA chapter! Special thank you to the Monticello FFA Alumni and Supporters for funding this unique and memorable experience!
