MONROE -- A Monroe woman was arrested at her home and jailed Thursday on a warrant issued by the State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) after police allegedly purchased amphetamines and other drugs from her using a confidential informant three times this year.

Sarah J. Roesslein, 37, faces a Class E felony of manufacturing or delivering amphetamines weighing between 3 and 10 grams, and two Class H felony counts of manufacturing or delivering non-narcotics.

If convicted on all three charges, Roesslein could face a prison sentence of up to 27 years, $70,000 in fines, or both.

After Roesslein made an initial appearance in Green County Circuit Court Friday, the court set a $10,000 signature bond that orders her to not possess or consume nonprescription controlled substances. She had not signed the bond as of Saturday, court records indicate.

SLANT personnel with the Illinois State Police gave the informant money to purchase drugs from Roesslein at her residence in the 400 block of West 21st Street, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday.

On April 1 she sold the informant 33 Adderall XR capsules that together weighed six grams, according to the complaint.

On March 11 and May 5 she reportedly sold the informant four tablets weighing .01 grams and 10 tablets weighing 2.6 grams, respectively, of Concerta, a trade name for methylphenidate, another stimulant commonly prescribed to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), according to a fact sheet published by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

SLANT focuses on drug enforcement along the Wisconsin-Illinois border.

Roesslein has a preliminary hearing June 26.
