TOWN OF SYLVESTER - Almost two dozen young people were charged with underage possession/consumption of alcohol at a party early Saturday morning on Goepfert Road in the Town of Sylvester.
The Green County Sheriff's Department responded to a complaint of a loud party shortly after 12 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, they observed numerous unsafe parking violations and a loud party in progress. As a result of an investigation, the following citations were issued for first-offense underage possession/consumption of alcohol: Benjamin T. Murray, 19, Monroe; Martina Leal-Schevenin, 19, Monroe; Mitchell W. Riese, 19, Monroe; Ryan P. Zimmerman, 20, New Glarus; Taylor M. Nealis, 19, New Glarus; Taylor J. Disch, 19, New Glarus; Briana M. Katzenberger, 19, rural Monroe; Benjamin J. Prophett, 19, Monroe; Rachel L. Steiner, 18, Madison; Lane S. Berndt, 18, Monroe; Austin G. Lewey, 19, Monroe; Eric J. Timm, 17, Monroe; Steven S. Christiansen, 19, Monroe; Jonah D. Antos, 19, Milwaukee; Payton M. Hoesly, 19, Monroe; Todd A. Durst, 19, Milwaukee; Emily J. Gruenenfelder, 17, Blanchardville; Brenna L. Sargent, 19, New Glarus and Dylan D. Way, 19, New Glarus. Cited for second-offense underage possession/consumption of alcohol were Alexander M. Barenklau, 19, Monroe; Breawn A. Ambrose, 18, Monroe; and Cassandra R. Benner, 19, Juda. Kate L. Poppe, 20, Monroe, was cited for obstructing an officer and second-offense underage possession/consumption of alcohol.
All subjects were released pending court. Additional citations are pending for those hosting the party.
