LIVINGSTON — A 52-year-old Livingston man was arrested for the shooting of a 34-year-old man in a Livingston bar early Saturday.

Todd Holder was arrested outside a Lancaster residence after the incident at The Hell Inn Bar and Grill, 280 N. Center St., Saturday, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Holder faces a tentative charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide. Charges had not been filed as of Monday morning, according to court records.

The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about the shooting at the Hell Inn Saturday at 12:37 a.m. Emergency personnel found the 34-year-old man outside the door to the bar bleeding from wounds, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Montfort EMS and the UW Hospital Med Flight helicopter transported the victim to a hospital. The victim’s identity and condition were not reported as of Monday morning.

Law enforcement investigating the incident learned that a witness saw the suspect pointing a gun at and shooting the victim, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the state Department of Justice State Crime Lab assisted Grant County in the incident.

Holder does not have a criminal record other than a conviction for operating while intoxicated, which was issued Dec. 24.

The Hell Inn opened May 28 in the former J’s Bar and Grill building.
