Albany — On Wednesday, Aug. 16, Green County Land and Water Conservation Department along with staff from UW Extension Green County, UW Extension Madison and University of Wisconsin Stevens Point will be hosting a meeting to update farmers, landowners and operators on the Groundwater Quality Data Trend project that has been testing wells in Green County the last four years. This event is a great opportunity for people to learn what trends are emerging with our groundwater and ways we can keep our groundwater safe. There is also an open discussion for any landowner, farmer, or producer-led watershed member to join in and give their perspective to possible solutions. The event will be held at the Albany Lions Club (402 N Cincinnati St, Albany, Wisconsin) from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with lunch to follow. If you are interested, please RSVP no later than August 4 to Tonya Gratz at (608) 426-2218 or via email Tonya.Gratz@wi.nacdnet.net. Appreciation and thanks to sponsors who are providing financial support for lunch: Compeer Financial, Lake Ridge Bank, The Bank of New Glarus, and Woodford State Bank.
