David “Dave” LaGrange, age 69 of Beloit passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He was born on May 16, 1956 the son of George and Joyce (Broge) LaGrange. He graduated from Black Hawk High School in 1974; where he was very active in sports and held records for Track & Field. After high school Dave attended Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore.

Dave spent his life working in auto body repair and as a car painter. He spent ten years at Dearth and many years at Budweiser Chevrolet in Beloit, along with time at several other body shops throughout the area. Dave loved camping and cherished the companionship of his dogs, Sadie and Diamond, often taking them to Big Hill Park. In his younger years, he played sand volleyball, playing in both leagues and tournaments. He was also a member of the EL TOROS Motorcycle Club.

Dave is survived by his siblings, Charles “Chuck” LaGrange of South Wayne and Eve (Matt) Pospeschil of Janesville; and nieces, Kendra (fiancé, Sean Penrice) Rezner, Kristin (Andrew) Leibfried, and Paige (Glen) Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Chris Mason.

A service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held on May 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Moe officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
