MONROE — No injuries were reported from an accident at 22nd Avenue and Ridgeway Road at 5:03 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. Samantha J. Siegel, 28, Monroe, was cited as a result for operating left of center.
● An accident with no injuries was reported on the Wis. 11 off-ramp at 6th Avenue West at 12:41 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Stuart E. Rodgers, 61, Brodhead, was cited as a result for non-registration of a trailer.

MONROE — On Thursday, Oct. 17:
● Deputies responded at 4:22 a.m. to the N5700 block of County J, Town of Adams, for a report of a one-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed Russell R. Riley, 60, Monroe, had been southbound when he attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway and exited the west side of the roadway. He then over-corrected, re-entered the roadway and exited the east side of the road, where he hit several trees. He reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. It was later removed from the scene. Riley was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of a crash.
● A vehicle vs. bridge crash was reported at about 1 p.m. in the W5200 block of Round Grove Road, Town of Monroe. The driver was later identified as Russell Rautman, 57, Chilton. The backend of his delivery truck struck a bridge for the Cheese Country Trail as he went under it. He reported no injuries. No damage to the bridge was found, but deputies notified the Department of Natural Resources of the accident. Rautmann was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of an accident.
On Friday, Oct. 18:
● A two-vehicle crash with no injuries was reported at 12:47 p.m. in the W900 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. Kristine M. Peterson, 41, Milton, was stopped at the end of a driveway, preparing to turn east onto Wis. 11, when a vehicle driven by Jeffrey W. Kuebli, 49, Brodhead, was westbound on Wis. 11. Kuebli believed Peterson was entering the road and attempted to avoid a collision by swerving into the north ditch. Kuebli’s vehicle hit Peterson’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Peterson’s vehicle had airbag deployment and was towed. Kuebli’s vehicle was driven from the scene.
On Saturday, Oct. 19:
● A vehicle vs. tree crash was reported at about 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Buckskin Road and Walnut Road, Town of Washington. No one was around the crashed vehicle, a Dodge Ram pickup. It appeared the driver had failed to negotiate a curve, gone into the ditch and hit a tree. The driver was later located and identified as Damien Orton, 20, Brooklyn. The accident remains under investigation.
On Sunday, Oct. 20:
● A vehicle vs. tractor crash with no injuries was reported at 12:37 p.m. in the N2300 block of Mount Hope Road, Town of Spring Grove. James E. Kwasneski, 72, Brodhead, was northbound when he started to pass a farm tractor pulling a large chopper box, operated by Armando Laureano Lopez, 33, Darlington. While Kwasneski was overtaking the farm implement on the left, the tractor made a left turn to enter a field and the two units collided. Kwasneski’s vehicle sustained functional damage. The farm equipment sustained no damage. Laureano Lopez had his hazard light on and reported using his left turn signal.
On Thursday, Oct. 24:
● Ian M. Schultz, 21, Monticello, was taken by private vehicle to the Monroe Clinic ER for treatment of non-life threatening injuries following a rollover crash reported at 8:02 a.m. in the W4200 block of County C, Town of Mount Pleasant. He lost control while negotiating a curve in the road. The vehicle went into the ditch, overturned and came to rest on its roof. It sustained disabling damage and was towed. Schultz was cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance.
● Dustin L. Walters, 31, Monroe, sustained non-life threatening injuries in a rollover crash reported at 7:56 p.m. in the Town of York, but declined medical attention. He was southbound on County J at County H when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road and hit an embankment. The vehicle then collided with a fence and overturned. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed. Walters was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle. He was released pending court
