Willis I. Wahl age 81, of Monticello, Wisconsin died on Monday, July 23, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 14, 1931 in Blanchardville, Wisconsin, the son of Iren and Alfa (Hanson) Wahl.

In 1953 he married Joyce Broge and they farmed in the Yellowstone area, and later a Livestock Dealer in the Monroe area.

Willis served in the U.S. Army from October 1948 - October 1951 as a Military Police Officer, he earned the Army of Occupation Medal and the Medal for Humane Action.

A little about Willie: He was quick to poke fun, or "pull" a trick - He was quick to calculate the price, weight, or square footage WITHOUT a calculator. - He loved a good Euchre game, good laugh, and a good auction - He HATED funerals, "free-loaders" and high prices - But he loved family, friends, and little kids he always called peanuts.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wahl of Monroe, WI; daughters, Rebecca (Howard) McKee of Browntown, Shelly (Keith) Kubly of Monticello, Heidi (Dan) Flynn of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Dan and Jinelle Kubly, Mikala and Jason McKee, and great-granddaughter Jacklyn Kubly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Leland; sisters, Dolores Nyhus and Joyce Iandola.

Private Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Graceland Cemetery in Blanchardville, Wisconsin with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at Eagle Pass in Monticello, Wisconsin.

All Willie's friends are welcome to join the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Willie's name to Monroe Clinic Hospice.
