MOUNT HOREB — The Sugar River Raiders got their fourth shutout of the season by blanking Mount Horeb 3-0 in nonconference girls soccer on Thursday, April 23.
The Raiders got their first goal in the first half at 15:04 when junior Kate Parman scored with assists going to junior Nikole Schultz and junior Holly Maynard.
The Raiders increased their lead to 2-0 at 24:16 in the first half as junior Ellie Brenkman was successful on a penalty kick.
In the second half, Sugar River took a 3-0 lead as senior Josie Emond got her first goal of the season at 65:20 with an assist by senior Bailey McGuire.
Senior Savanah Minter started at goalkeeper and played 60 minutes and recorded nine saves. Freshman Greer Coppernoll served as goalkeeper for 20 minutes and kept the shutout intact.
Sugar River 2, Milton 0
NEW GLARUS — The Raiders have racked up five shutouts this season as they blanked Milton 2-0 in nonconference soccer on Saturday, April 25 at New Glarus.
The Raiders got first half goals from junior Kate Parman and senior Kennedi Esser. Parman’s goal came on an assist by Esser.
Senior Savanah Minter was solid at goalkeeper as she recorded seven saves for the Raiders.
The Raiders were to host Lake Mills in Capitol Conference action at New Glarus on Tuesday, April 28.
