Carol L. Ferguson, age 79 of Monroe, died Saturday, April 25, 2026 at SSM Hospital in Madison, after battling cancer. She was born on May 15, 1946 in Monroe, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Redman) Wyss. Carol graduated from Monroe High School and Madison Business College. Carol married Dennis L. Ferguson on October 14, 1967 at Emanuel Evangelical Church in Monroe. She worked as the Bookkeeper at the family business, East Side Farm Equipment, which they took over from Dennis’s father, John Ferguson. She enjoyed being outside taking care of her property, gardening, mowing, flowers; she also enjoyed country music, and her cats, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Scott (Lisa) Ferguson, Darin Ferguson, both of Monroe, and Sheila (Tim) Kint of Orangeville; 8 grandchildren: Zachory Amorose, Josette Ferguson, Kayla Ferguson, Ian Kint, Jake Ferguson, Kaleb Ferguson, Gavin Kint, and Mitchell Ferguson; brother, David Wyss. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Roger Wyss.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 1, 2026 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. A visitation will take place Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Funeral Home.
