Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Miguel Ortega-Andrade, 33, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance at about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Kyle Scot Peotter, 17, Monroe, was arrested after police responded at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, to a complaint that he used a Sharpie marker to write derogatory messages on the posts and in the rafters of a shelter in Recreation Park, 1700 22nd Ave. Three Monroe children with Peotter - a 13-year-old boy, a 11-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy - were referred to Green County Juvenile Intake for disciplining. Peotter was jailed and faces misdemeanor charges in Green County Circuit Court of graffiti, criminal damage to property, two counts of bail jumping and intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child. He was released Thursday, July 12, on a $100 cash bond and $900 signature bond, on the conditions that he have no contact with anyone younger than 18 and stay in his home from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. except for work. He has a pre-trial conference scheduled July 17.

- Grayson K. Privett, 17, Monroe, was arrested on charges of retail theft, trespassing, bail jumping and underage drinking (second offense) after police responded to a complaint at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, that Privett attempted to steal a bottle of liquor from Piggly Wiggly, 725 8th Street. He was previously barred from the store. A 13-year-old boy with Privett was taken into custody for underage drinking (first offense) and theft (acting as a party to a crime), then released to a parent. Privett was jailed and is facing three misdemeanor charges in Green County Circuit Court related to the incident. His initial appearance in scheduled Friday, July 13.

- Notice was issued to a resident in the 2900 block of 10th Street to clean up garbage and other refuse around the residence, after police responded to a neighbor's complaint at 2:53 p.m. Tuesday, July 10.

- A black Michael Jordan hat was reported stolen out of a residence in the 500 block of West 21st Street at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 10.

- A men's 15-speed bicycle was found at 3:16 p.m. Wednesday, July 11. To claim, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

- Police responded at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, to a report of dogs barking constantly for two hours in a residence in the 800 block of 22nd Avenue. The dogs' owner was not located.

- A door-to-door peddler of meat was warned to get a city vending license at 6:42 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, after police responded to a complaint in the 1500 block of Parkview Drive. The meat vendor reported selling for the company Direct USA.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Daniel Rojel, 18, Beloit, was arrested at 3:36 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, on an active warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department for failure to pay a fine. Deputies arrested Rojel after stopping a vehicle for a traffic violation on Wisconsin 11 at Mount Hope Road in the Town of Spring Grove.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Antwan D. Williams, 32, Dodgeville, was transported at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, from the Iowa County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail for a probation and parole warrant. He remains jailed.

- Antonia Velasco-Sanchez, 31, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at 5:46 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, following a traffic stop on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- Kathryn Burbach, 21, Shullsburg, was cited for speeding at 10:48 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, on County J in the Town of Benton.
