On March 13:
● At 6:44 a.m., Deputies responded to the W7400 block of CTH P, in the Town of Cadiz, for a single vehicle crash. The investigation found that a vehicle driven by Christin M. Brennen, 58, of Browntown, was traveling eastbound when she observed a tree laying in the road. Brennen advised she attempted to take evasive action, but collided with the tree.Brennen advised that she was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured. Brennen’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment, and was later towed.
On March 15:
● At 3:56 a.m., Deputies responded to the N8300 block of STH 104, in the Town of Brooklyn, for a single vehicle crash. The investigation found that a vehicle driven by Griffin D. Thompson, 17, of Brodhead, was traveling southbound when the vehicle collided with a fallen tree branch in the road. The vehicle then veered into the east ditch, where it came to a rest. Thompson advised that he was uninjured and was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
On March 16:
● At 5:37 a.m., Deputies responded to the N5600 blk of STH 69, Town of Washington, for a two vehicle crash. The investigation found that a vehicle driven by Mitchell R. Flannery, 25, of Madison, was traveling northbound, when he lost control due to weather conditions, and struck a tow truck removing a vehicle from the ditch. The tow truck driver, Gregory R. Jelle, 49, of Monroe, was out of his vehicle at the time of the crash. Both parties reported no injuries. Flannery’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Jelle’s tow truck was driven from the scene. Flannery was issued a citation for driving too fast for conditions with a pending court date.
● At 7:35 a.m., Deputies responded to the W1100 of STH 11, Town of Spring Grove for a single vehicle crash. The investigation found that a vehicle driven by Tammy T. Pomplun, 62, of Evansville, was traveling eastbound, when she lost control due to weather conditions. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch where it struck a fence. Pomplun reported being uninjured and wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● At 3:31 p.m., Deputies responded to the W2000 blk of Hein Rd., Town of Decatur for a two vehicle crash. The investigation found that the westbound vehicle driven by Arturo E. Garcia Gutierrez, 21, of Monroe, did not see the Decatur Township Plow truck plowing the roadway ahead of him. Garcia Gutierrez struck the rear of the plow truck causing disabling damage and airbag deployment. Garcia Gutierrez had a passenger with him and both were wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured. The plow truck driver for the Township, Thomas T. Harding, 66, of Brodhead, was wearing his seatbelt and was also uninjured. Garcia Gutierrez’s vehicle was towed from the scene and he was issued a citation for driving too fast for conditions with a non-mandatory court date.
● At 9:46 p.m., Deputies responded to the 500 blk of S Mechanic St. in the Village of Albany for a report of a single vehicle crash. The investigation found that the driver Christopher L. Gitchel, 32, of Beloit, while leaving the village, lost control of his vehicle and got pulled into the snow filled ditch. The vehicle continued on in the ditch and struck a limestone boulder becoming disabled. Gitchel reported uninjured, and wearing his seatbelt. His vehicle had airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Gitchel was issued a citation for failure to maintain and operating without insurance and was given a non-mandatory court date.
On March 16:
● At 6:02 a.m., a Green County Sheriff Deputy had stopped, with its red and blue lights activated, and was assisting a motorist who had driven their vehicle into the ditch in the N5000 blk of STH 69, Town of Washington. While assisting the motorist, the Deputy’s squad was struck by a northbound vehicle that had lost control due to roadway conditions. The Deputy was outside of the squad and was not injured during the crash. Both vehicles in the crash sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Monroe Police Department assisted on scene and conducted the crash investigation.
● At 6:35 a.m., Deputies responded to the W8800 blk of STH 39, Town of York for a vehicle that was traveling westbound, driven by James E. Crain, 24, of Monroe, entered the north ditch. Crain reported having no injuries and was wearing his seatbelt. His vehicle was removed from the ditch, but was unable to stay running. The vehicle was then towed from the scene
● At 7:25 a.m., Deputies responded to the N4600 blk of Rechsteiner Rd., Town of Sylvester for a single vehicle in a field. The investigation determined that on 3/15/2026, Trenton T. Eisch, 27, of Albany was northbound on Rechsteiner Rd. when he lost control due to roadway conditions and entered the east ditch. Eisch’s vehicle struck an embankment in the field that disabled his vehicle. Eisch was uninjured during the crash and wearing his seatbelt. Eisch gained permission by the land owner to remove the vehicle at a later date.
● At 4:16 p.m., Deputies responded to the 800 blk of 30th St., City of Monroe, where it was known that Domenic J. Power, 23, was staying. Power had an active warrant through Monroe Police Department. Deputies took Power into custody and he was placed under arrest. Power was transported to the Green County Jail pending a court date.
