Wisconsin P.O.W. Camps during WWII
Wisconsin P.O.W.

ALBANY — Most people are surprised to learn that there were 38 Prisoner of War Camps in Wisconsin, having a total of 20,000 POWs.

An upcoming Albany Historical Society May 19 presentation tells interesting stories of those who may have lived in a community that once had a POW camp, those who worked side by side with POWs and those who were once prisoners in a POW camp. You will find this presentation to be informative, and entertaining.

It is being presented by Bob Block of Oregon, Wisconsin.

It will be held at 7 p.m. at the Albany Historical Society, 119 N, Water St, Albany.
