As FFA week approaches, the New Glarus FFA would like to highlight the accomplishments and participation of our members. Recently members competed in Leadership Development Events, nine members participated in various speaking competitions at the event where they gained valuable experience in public speaking. From a local standpoint members were busy this Fall with our Concession stand during football games, annual fruit sale, and chapter events such as pumpkin carving. One event that had a positive impact on the community was Corn Hole For a Cause, students participated in a corn hole tournament, which proceeds were donated to the Green Cares Food Pantry. Students have also been busy with participating in Leadership Conferences such as Fall Leadership Workshop, Impact, Mission, Halftime and Farm Forum. Through our busy year one of the highlights for students was our annual bowling celebration where students take time to enjoy each other’s company and recognize the accomplishments of the year. We are excited to kick off FFA week and share information about FFA with the district through our Teacher Appreciation Breakfast, Ag Day at the Elementary School event and daily activities with the High school student body.
