Leona E. Reinmann, age 108, of Monroe, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at her home. Leona was born on the Hartwig farm in Clarno Township on August 12, 1917, the daughter of Ernest C. and Ida (Lichtenwalner) Hartwig. She attended East Clarno School and graduated from Monroe High School in 1934. She was united in marriage to Albert Reinmann on January 11, 1936 in Elgin, IL. The couple farmed in Clarno Township for many years. Leona was a long time member of Clarno Zion United Methodist Church where she played piano for over 80 years (most recently at age 107). She was a former member of the Orangeville and Monroe Rebekah Lodge, and Monroe chapter of D.A.R.

She is survived by a daughter, Luann Bowen of Monroe; son, Kendall (Joyce) Reinmann of Pecatonica, IL; seven grandchildren, Renee (Rick) Jordan, Jeff Bowen, Ron Bowen (Betsy), Laurie Bowen, Gary (Teri) Bowen, Robin (Mark) Borchardt, Scott (Nicole) Reinmann; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert, on Sept. 22, 2004; and a son-in-law, Ray Bowen in 2020.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Tom Moe officiating. Private family interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. A memorial fund will be established in Leona’s name for the Clarno Zion UMC or UMCOR disaster relief.
