STOUGHTON - The Monroe wrestling team's hopes of finishing in the top two in the Badger South Conference took a hit after the Cheesemakers lost a dual match 51-19 to Stoughton Tuesday.
Monroe entered the match against the Vikings unbeaten in conference. The Cheesemakers won four of the 11 matches wrestled and forfeited at 103, 135 and 145-pound weight classes.
Monroe's Eric Timm, at 119 pounds, defeated Stoughton's Karl Krumholz 12-2.
Monroe senior Dylan Schwitz (152) defeated Jack Williford 5-2 and sophomore Dusty Burkhalter (171) beat Travis Meister 7-0.
Fellow sophomore Trevor Gorr (215) edged Mac Shumaker 1-0.
