Orfordville - The Pecatonica Vikings lost a tough game on the road Friday, 15-6 to Orfordville Parkview.
Pecatonica, which had two walk-off wins this past week, grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Parkview added one in the second and four more in the third to take a 5-3 advantage.
Parkview scored three runs in the fourth, four in the fifth and three more in the sixth. All the while Pecatonica could only score a run in each of the fourth and fifth.
Pecatonica finished with 12 hits and four errors while Parkview had 14 hits and three errors.
Pecatonica has a week to rest before traveling to conference rival Barneveld April 30.
New Glarus 5, Cambridge 4, Game 1
CAMBRIDGE - The Knights found a way to hang on, holding off a late Blue Jays rally.
New Glarus scored three runs in the second and two more in the third, taking a 5-0 lead at the time. Cambridge responded with four runs in the fourth and sixth, but Knights starter Nick Stuessy held on strong to close out the game.
Stuessy struck out eight and allowed six hits and just one earned run in seven innings of work. New Glarus had four defensive errors.
Kirbe French was 3-for-3 and Stuessy added two hits. Stuessy also had a double, Ryan Bright tripled and Brendan Pittman had two RBIs for New Glarus.
New Glarus 4, Cambridge 3, Game 2
CAMBRIDGE - Tyler Kreklow picked up the win on the hill, going 5 1/3 innings while striking out three to lead the Knights to a sweep of the Blue Jays.
Kreklow gave up a 3-spot in the second, but New Glarus scored a run in each of the second, third, fifth and sixth innings.
Stuessy and Carlin Moen each had two hits and a double apiece and Bright tripled.
The Knights collected eight hits and struck out just once in the contest.
In other action Belmont beat Albany 12-1. Albany hosts Monticello on Monday.
