MONROE — With just two local teams still competing as of Nov. 14, it’s time to start thinking about the 2024-25 winter season.

Monroe’s co-op hockey began on Nov. 11. It’s first competition will be a home contest against Whitefish Bay at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. The Cheesemakers’ first conference game is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 3 against Monona Grove.

Girls basketball also began on Nov. 11, preparing for its first game against Benton on Nov. 19. The Cheesemakers have two nonconference games before a holiday tournament in South Beloit.

Boys basketball and boys and girls wrestling is slated to begin Monday, Nov. 18.

Monroe’s first contest is a nonconference matchup with Belleville.

The boys and girls will split for their first meet of the wrestling season. The boys will travel to Janesville Parker, while the girls will head to Jefferson. The team’s annual invite is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 28.
