On September 19:
● 8:48 p.m. Deputies, Benton Fire, Benton First Response, and Hazel Green EMS responded to Buncombe RD, Benton Township for a one vehicle accident. Paige M. Bulman, 36, Hazel Green was traveling on Buncombe RD when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole. Bulman and her juvenile passenger reported no injuries. Bulman’s 2019 Jeep received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Bulman was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated with a Passenger ≤ 16 Y/O (OWI – 1st Offense). Bulman was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she was booked on her charge and later released to a responsible party. Bulman was also cited for Operating Without a Valid License (OWL – 1st Offense) and Failure to Report an Accident. Grant County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
On September 20:
● 5:48 p.m. Deputies, Belmont Fire, and Belmont EMS responded to STH 81, Elk Grove Township for a truck vs Amish buggy accident. Paul W. Keintz, 23, Beloit was traveling on STH 81 when he failed to yield to an Amish buggy and struck the rear of it. Keintz reported no injuries. Jonas S. Stoltzfus, 19, Platteville, the sole occupant of the buggy, was transported by ambulance to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the crash. Keintz’s 2016 Chevrolet and the buggy sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Southwest Health EMS assisted.
On September 22:
● 3:12 a.m. Deputies responded to S Sidney ST, City of Shullsburg for a wanted person. Kyle E. Gille, 30, Shullsburg was arrested on a Valid Wisconsin Department of Corrections Warrant. Gille was transported and booked into Lafayette County Jail where he remains.
On September 24:
● 6:14 p.m. A deputy, Belmont EMS, and Belmont Fire responded to E Platteville AV, Belmont Township for two-vehicle accident. Adam C. Ducharme, 53, Lancaster was northbound on STH 126 in his 2000 Ford when he was struck by Dustin J. Nunn, 43, Cuba City. Nunn was traveling westbound on CTH G in his 2015 Buick when he failed to stop at the stop sign. Nunn and his two passengers were transported to the hospital for minor injuries. Nunn’s Buick and Ducharme’s Ford both received disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
On September 26:
● 5:32 a.m. Lee R. Andrews, 48, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 126, Elk Grove Township. Andrews reported no injuries. Andrew’s 2015 Ford received functional damage and driven from the scene.
● 4:12 p.m. Deputies, Shullsburg Fire and Shullsburg EMS responded to Dunbarton RD, Shullsburg Township for a one vehicle accident. Bernardo Toj-Gomez, 49, Shullsburg was traveling on Dunbarton RD in his 2008 Mazda when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch, then traveled on CTH A into Shullsburg where they pulled over in front of a residence. Toj-Gomez was cited for Operating While Intoxicated (1st Offense). Shullsburg PD and Lafayette County EMS assisted.
● 9:25 p.m. Deputies responded to Riverside RD, Wiota Township for a wanted person. Michael A. Fischer, 55, Oshkosh was arrested for a Probation Violation. Fischer was to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains in custody.
