DARLINGTON — The Darlington-Black Hawk wrestling team hosted Brookwood, Ithaca-Weston and Lancaster in a quadrangular on Tuesday, Jan. 17, where the Warbirds didn’t drop a single dual.

In their 60-12 win over Brookwood, the Warbirds received 24 points from forfeits. Breylin Goebel (152), Eli Crist (160) and Maddox Goebel (170) won back-to-back-to-back matches with pins, all in the first period. Bryan Lazaro (285) then closed out the dual with a pin of Berulo Rodriquez in just 34 seconds.

Darlington-Black Hawk also received points from Eli Aird (120) with his 12-5 decision and Isaac Crist’s (145) 14-1 major decision. Owen Seffrood (138) didn’t allow Caston Gosda to score a single point in his 15-0 technical fall.

Ithaca-Weston and Darlington-Black Hawk ended it a tie at 34 points each. Based on the third tiebreaker criteria — most individual match wins — Ithaca-Weston won 7-6. Breylin Goebel, Tye Crist and Seffrood all pinned their opponents. The remaining four points came from Ross Crist’s 8-0 major decision.

In their final dual, the Warbirds edged Lancaster 40-33. Darlington-Black Hawk received 30 points from forfeits, which counteracted Lancaster’s 30 points from pins. The difference came in Breylin Goebel’s pin and Aird’s 9-1 major decision.
