PATCH GROVE - Albany senior point guard Tyler Dahl scored 40 points over two games Wednesday to surpass 1,000 points in his career.
Dahl had 25 points to lead the Comets in a 69-48 loss to Iowa-Grant in the River Ridge tournament championship game.
Dahl had 15 points earlier in the day when Albany defeated River Ridge 59-31. Cole Trapp and Connor Trow added 11 points each for the Comets.
Dahl is the third boys basketball player in Albany to score more than 1,000 points. He has 1,015 points now.
