BIG FOOT - The Brodhead golf team finished fourth at a Rock Valley South Conference meet at Big Foot Monday.
The Cardinals shot a 198, which was just one stroke head of fourth place Palmyra-Eagle. Big Foot won the meet by out-shooting Beloit Turner, 183-194. Brodhead senior Jake Cole shot a 44 to lead the Cardinals.
Freshman Tyler Welsh shot a 50 and sophomore Josh Strehlow carded a 51. Junior Kurtis Johnson rounded out the top four for the Cardinals by shooting a 53.
SWAL Conference Meet
FENNIMORE - The Darlington golf team finished third at a SWAL Conference meet Monday.
Zach McArthur shot a 40 to lead the Redbirds. Cuba City edged Iowa-Grant 157-161 to win the meet. The Redbirds shot 172 as a team.
Darlington's Bryan Reichling shot a 42. Lucas Bergeson and Alex Schulte each carded a 45.
Pecatonica-Argyle finished seventh out of eight teams after shooting a 221. Sean Shilling led the Vikings with a 49. Brandon Watkins shot a 54 and Micala Peterson carded a 56. Fiaz Rahman shot a 62 to round out the top four for the Vikings.
