Benjamin William Grossen, age 33, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 27, 2020 at his home. He was born the son of Dale and Gail (Hubbard) Grossen on June 17, 1987 in Monroe. Ben was a 2006 graduate of Monroe High School; where he played hockey for 12 years. He also attended MATC and Diesel Truck Driving Training School.
Ben worked for The Shadetree Services, tree trimming service for five years. He later became the owner and operator of Grohub Hemp Farm. During the winter Ben loved to go snowmobiling; and in the summer he liked motorcycling and four-wheeling. His pride and joy were his diesel truck. Ben especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Dale and Gail; son, Orion Grossen, fiancé, Jessica Kamps and her daughter, Kaylee; sisters, Hannah (Ryan) Bechtolt and Ellyn (Alec Treuthardt) Grossen; nieces, Laine and Sutton; maternal grandfather, William Hubbard; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Mildred Grossen; and maternal grandmother, Maralyn Hubbard.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for Ben’s son, Orion.
