MONROE - The Monroe Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Sun Prairie man they say was videotaped breaking into and stealing from a Monroe business on Sept. 7.

The warrant is issued for Robert James Olson, 22, who is charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage to property, after a man resembling him was recorded by store security cameras breaking into Discount America Hobby and Motorsports, in the 1000 block of 3rd Avenue, and stole a remote-controlled car earlier this month.

Olson is described as a white male, 6-foot-1, 275 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He also has tattoos on his arms and chest.

Olson also has several active retail theft charges pending in Waukesha and Milwaukee counties.

Anyone with information about the case or Olson's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Monroe Police Department at (608) 329-2400.
