MONROE - A Monroe man was charged Friday with repeatedly sexually assaulting a child and a related offense in Green County Circuit Court.
Devan J. Mueller, 34, faces a Class C felony count of repeated sexual assault of the same child and a related Class C felony count after the victim told representatives of the Green County Child Advocacy Center she had been assaulted.
According to the victim's testimony, Mueller had repeatedly groped her on multiple occasions between Jan. 1, 2013 and Jan. 31, 2015. The victim informed the Child Advocacy Center of the assaults in February 2015.
Mueller faces a maximum possible sentence of 50 years in prison if found guilty of both charges. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 23.
