TOWN OF GRATIOT - A Hartford man still on parole for his fifth drunk-driving conviction was arrested again for the same offense Saturday evening near Gratiot, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department.

Robert Soleska, 54, was jailed on a sixth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of THC (marijuana), hit-and-run on property adjacent to the highway and failure to keep his vehicle under control.

The arrest occurred after a deputy responded to a traffic complaint at 7:03 p.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

Gratiot First Response, the Gratiot Fire Department, Rural Medical Ambulance Service and the Darlington Police Department assisted at the scene.

Soleska was sentenced in April 2011 in Waukesha County to two and a half years in prison for his fifth OWI conviction, plus three years on extended supervision, according to state court records.

He was convicted of his second OWI in January 2000, his third in December 2003 and his fourth in March 2004.
