Fedora to play next 'Concerts on the Square' set for July 21

MONROE - As the fourth installment in the Concerts on the Square series, Fedora will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, on the west side of the Square, downtown Monroe.

Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs.

Fedora, a band with local roots, will entertain with the sounds of blues and rock.

Fedora has played throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states.

In 2009, Fedora performed at the South By Southwest Festival, Austin, Texas and received the Madison Area Music Awards "Blues Song of the Year" award.

Box lunches will be available at Café Claudeen's, Pancho and Lefty's, and Boomerang Bakery. All are located on or near the Square. Special Olympics volunteers will also be selling popcorn as a fundraiser.

Bartels Pub and Ruf's Confectionery will provide the popcorn to the group free of charge.

Beverages will be available at a beer stand sponsored by the Green County Humane Society, and Monroe Main Street will sell snow cones and water.

In the event of inclement weather, the concert will move to The Roller Den, 1506 31st Ave., Monroe.

A sign announcing the move will be posted on the square and announced on WEKZ. Bring your own chairs.
