RICHLAND CENTER- As of Thursday, Aug. 1, the Southwest Family Care Alliance will change its name to "ContinuUs."
Southwest Family Care Alliance helps adults who need help because of aging or a disability, and are eligible for Medicaid, to live as independently as possible in their own home. The new name is Latin for "connected together."
"The name 'ContinuUs' better reflects the organization we've become. As we've grown, we've gained deeper and deeper appreciation for the network of collaborative efforts needed to support the clients who are members of Family Care," said Teri Buros, chief executive officer.
The Alliance serves Richland, Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Juneau, Lafayette, Sauk, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pierce and St. Croix counties. Beginning Aug. 1, the organization will also serve Columbia, Dodge, Green Lake, Jefferson, Marquette, Washington, Waukesha and Waushara counties. For more information, contact Buros at tburos@continuus.org or 608-647-1557.
