MONTICELLO - With no named candidate running for village president, the voters of Monticello elected LaVerne Crooks with 50 percent, or 29 of the 58 total write-in votes. Also receiving multiple write-in votes were Richard Anderson, 10; Randy Halvorsen, 8; and Ernest Gempeler, 4. Remaining votes were scattered.
