Country singer Campbell takes stage Friday night

MONROE - Country recording artist Craig Campbell will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the Green County Fair.

Campbell released his self-titled debut album in 2011. To date, he has logged four consecutive charted hits with more than 1 billion radio airplay audience impressions and more than 500,000 downloads. Called one of the genre's most neo-traditionalist singers, his Top 15 breakout debut "Family Man" was featured on HBO's "True Blood" and the top-selling "Fish" has tallied nearly 400,000 digital copies sold.

Campbell recently released his new single, "Tomorrow Tonight."

He earned his first Top 10 hit with "Keep Them Kisses Comin'" from his sophomore album "Never Regret" (2013), produced by Keith Stegall and Matt Rovey.

The songwriter co-penned six of the tracks on the 12-song project as well as Garth Brooks "All American Kid" on "Man Against the Machine." Prior to landing his first record deal, the Lyons, Georgia native spent time on the road playing keyboard for both Tracy Byrd and Luke Bryan. He was discovered while playing a regular gig at the downtown Nashville honkytonk, The Stage.

Campbell's show will cost is $10 with fair admission.

The Zac Matthews Band, a regional country favorite based in Milton, will open for Campbell.
