Green County Sheriff 

MONROE — Jesse T. J. Mattmann, 23, Baraboo, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash in the N5300 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington, at 4:13 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20. He was northbound when he reported that he fell asleep. The vehicle entered the east ditch and collided with a culvert. It sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed. Mattmann was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control.

On Friday, Jan. 17:

●  A two-vehicle crash was reported at 3:05 p.m. in the Town of Sylvester. Brett A. McNamer, 43, Switzer, was southbound on Balls Mill Road approaching the intersection with Wis. 11 when he failed to stop at the stop sign. His vehicle slid through the intersection due to the snow-covered road surface and hit a westbound vehicle on Wis. 11 driven by Kyle L. Papendorf, 36, Monroe. Papendorf’s vehicle came to rest on the south shoulder of Wis. 11. It sustained disabling damage and was towed. Papendorf reported no injuries. McNamer’s vehicle sustained damage but was driven from the scene. McNamer and his passengers reported no injuries.

On Saturday, Jan. 18:

●  Brock A. Westby-Hess, 24, Monticello, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 7:55 a.m. in the N7800 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. He was northbound when he lost control due to the snow-covered road surface. The vehicle entered the ditch and overturned. It sustained disabling damage and was towed. New Glarus police assisted on scene.

●  Drew M. Enloe, 17, Belleville, and his adult passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 10:49 a.m. in the Town of Exeter. Enloe was northbound on County D at Carla Drive when he lost control. The vehicle entered the ditch and collided with a power pole. The vehicle sustained damage and was removed from the ditch by a tow company. Belleville police assisted deputies on scene.

●  A two-vehicle crash was reported at 3:29 p.m. in the Town of Jefferson. Darlene L. Wheeler, 80, Brodhead, was northbound on Twin Grove Road approaching Middle Juda Road when she reported she stopped at the stop sign and then entered the intersection after observing no traffic. Upon entering the intersection, however, her vehicle collided with an eastbound vehicle on Middle Juda Road driven by Ward F. Steinmann, 41, Juda. Wheeler reported a minor injury. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. Steinmann reported no injuries. His vehicle sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed.  Wheeler was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — A rollover crash was reported on Hidden Valley Lane, Town of Argyle, at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. The male minor driver lost control of his 2017 Subaru, left the road and rolled. No injuries were reported. The Subaru was severely damaged and towed. The Argyle Fire Department and Argyle EMS assisted. 

On Friday, Jan. 17:

●  A two-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported at 2:35 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. Shawn W. Zimmerman, 27, Belmont, was southbound when he negotiated a corner too quickly, causing his 2014 Chevrolet to slide across the centerline and hit a northbound 2001 Kenworth semi-truck and 1995 trailer operated by Kenneth D. Kittoe, 67, Rewey. The semi-truck sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was towed. Timmerman was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
