MONROE — Deputies located a one-vehicle crash in the W1700 block of Wis. 92, Town of Brooklyn, at 6:06 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. Peter R. Olson, 49, Evansville, was westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle entered the ditch, hit a culvert, a fence and a second culvert, then came to rest. Olson and his passenger, Karen K. Kaether, 49, Evansville, reported injuries. They were transported by Brooklyn EMS for further medical evaluation. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed. Olson was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
On Friday, Jan. 17:
● Sheldon D. Johnson, 61, Argyle, reported no injuries from a semi unit crash at 9:26 a.m. in the N7800 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. When he attempted to turn right onto Wis. 69 from a driveway, the trailer became unhitched from the tractor. The unit then jackknifed and came to rest in the road. Both the tractor and trailer sustained damage and were towed. The Green County Highway Department assisted on scene with traffic control. The area was partially closed to traffic for about two hours.
