MONROE — A two-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported at 7:54 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17. Carter P. Steinmann, 16, Monroe, left the stop sign on 13th Avenue at 19th Street to continue southbound on 13th Avenue and collided with an eastbound vehicle on 19th Street driven by Ronald C. Camron, 70, Monroe. The vehicles sustained moderate damage. Steinmann was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.
● A 10-year-old passenger was transported by Green County EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries from a vehicle vs. power pole crash reported at 2:57 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. Cory A. Fritzenmeier, 31, Monroe, was northbound in the 2900 block of 11th Avenue when her vehicle left the road and hit a power pole. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed. Fritzenmeier was cited for inattentive driving.

MONROE — On Monday, Feb. 17
● Kristine M. Germann, 53, Monona, and her passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 10:34 a.m. in the W9300 block of County C, Town of Adams. Germann was westbound when she lost control due to snow on the road and the vehicle entered the ditch. It sustained disabling damage and was towed. Argyle EMS and the Argyle Fire Department assisted deputies.
● Anthony M. Gutierrez, 27, Madison, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 11:02 a.m. on Wis. 59 at Suburban Drive, Town of Albany. Gutierrez was westbound on Wis. 59 when he lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle exited the road and collided with a snow embankment. It sustained disabling damage and was towed. Albany police assisted deputies on scene.
● Nathaniel J. Arneson, 51, Monroe, and his passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 1:46 p.m. in the N2900 block of County M, Town of Jordan. Arneson was northbound when he lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle entered the ditch, hit a culvert and came to rest in a creek. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed.
● William E. Holcomb, 41, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 2:04 p.m. in the W6600 block of Lightning Ridge Road, Town of Monroe. He was westbound when he lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle exited the roadway and collided with a fence. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed.
● Both drivers reported non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 3:23 p.m. in the W9500 block of Wis. 81, Town of Adams. Sarah R. Flannery, 22, Argyle, was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle, which collided with a vehicle driven by Kathi J. Meier, 40, Monroe. Flannery and Meier were transported by Argyle EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER. Flannery’s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Meier’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed. The Argyle Fire and Lafayette County deputies assisted.
● Jacob S. Powell, 29, Janesville, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 6 p.m. in the W3700 block of County W, Town of Exeter. He was westbound when he lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit a fence. The vehicle sustained minor damage. It was removed from the ditch by a tow company, then driven from the scene.
● Cory T. Bidlingmaier, 44, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 6:19 p.m. in the W7000 block of Franklin Road, Town of Clarno. He was westbound when he lost control due to snow on the road. The vehicle entered the ditch, where it hit a power pole. It sustained disabling damage and was towed.
On Wednesday, Feb. 19:
● Nicholas Maxwell, 61, New Glarus, reported no injuries from a vehicle fire at 7:26 a.m. in the N4700 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. He was southbound when he pulled over due to vehicle issues. After he pulled over and got out, the vehicle caught on fire. The Monroe Fire Department responded to handle the fire. The vehicle was towed.
On Thursday, Feb. 20:
● Thomas F. Darrow, 59, Albany, reported injuries from a snowmobile crash at 6:52 a.m. in the N6700 block of County X, Town of Albany. His snowmobile rolled, ejecting him. He reported wearing protective equipment. He was transported from the scene by Albany EMS for further evaluation. The Albany Fire Department assisted.
On Friday, Feb. 21:
● James L. Hurlbert, 59, Monroe, reported minor injuries from a semi-tractor trailer rollover crash at 8:22 a.m. in the W2600 block of County C, Town of Mount Pleasant. He was eastbound negotiating a curve when he lost control of the semi, causing it to roll. It sustained severe damage and was towed. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources assisted deputies on scene. Hurlbert was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
