MONROE — No injuries were reported from an accident in the 1000 block of 8th Street at 1:32 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. One of the drivers, Maureen Kay Shrier, 75, Brodhead, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way while turning left. The vehicles were driven from the scene.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Shawn M. Martinson, 23, Belleville, reported no injuries from a rollover crash in the W9000 block of County C, Town of Adams, at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27. An adult passenger reported minor injuries but was not transported by EMS. Martinson was eastbound when he reported he swerved to avoid a deer. The vehicle entered the north ditch, hit an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its roof. It sustained disabling damage and was towed. Martinson was cited for unsafe lane deviation and failure to keep a vehicle under control.

●  Mary Anne Oemichen, 58, New Glarus, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash in the W6000 block of Legler Valley Road, Town of New Glarus, at 1:03 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. She was eastbound when she failed to negotiate a curve and struck a bridge railing. The vehicle sustained severe damage, with airbag deployment. It was towed.

On Sunday, Dec. 1: 

●  Andrew P. Nash, 22, New Glarus, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 7:56 p.m. in the W5900 block of County H, Town of New Glarus. He was eastbound when he lost control due to icy road conditions. His vehicle went off the road and collided with an embankment. It sustained moderate damage and was towed.

●  Clarissa I. Anderson, 18, Ridott, Illinois, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 11:11 p.m. in the W8400 block of County B, Town of Cadiz. She was westbound when she lost control due to icy road conditions. Her vehicle went off the road and hit a tree. It sustained moderate damage and was towed.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Nov. 14:

●  George A. Schwartzmann III, 18, Platteville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident reported at 8:12 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. He was southbound when he lost control of his 2004 Nissan, crossed the centerline, entered the ditch and hit a tree. The severely damaged Nissan was towed. 

On Friday, Nov. 15:

●  A rollover crash was reported at 2:50 p.m. on County M, Town of Wiota. An unknown driver was northbound when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and lost control. The 1999 Chevrolet entered the ditch, rolled over and hit a tree. Injuries are unknown since the driver fled the scene. The Chevrolet was towed. The Woodford Fire Department and Woodford First Response assisted deputies on scene. Argyle EMS was paged but later disregarded because there was no patient.

On Saturday, Nov. 16:

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 4:14 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. The female minor driver lost control of the 2006 Toyota. It left the road and entered the ditch. It sustained moderate damage and was later removed by the owner.

●  Dwight J. Parish, 69, Linden, reported hitting a deer at 5:10 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. No injuries were reported. His 2014 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

●  Valerie J. Leifker-Edwards, 48, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 6:33 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove. No injuries were reported. The 2013 Ram sustained minor damage.
